As we enter 2024, with all of the hope and anticipation that comes with new beginnings, I urge all of us to revisit and reflect on our shared values. The year ahead will provide innumerable opportunities for each of us to demonstrate the power of these values through our actions and our words. Whether it be in a late-night conversation in a residence hall, in a classroom of opposing and varied views, or at a rally or protest, I look forward to seeing all of the ways that we, the entire Knox community, live our values.
I am also looking forward to sharing our progress on strategic priorities, important campus projects and highlighting exciting and inspiring things happening in our community in the coming months. Plans for over $20-million in capital improvements are well underway. These projects focus on accessibility, enhancing the student experience, and preserving our unique and historic campus facilities. Some of the projects currently in process include: a new, year-round residential and program building at Green Oaks, initial discussions and planning for renovations in Umbeck Science Mathematics Center, along with improvements and enhancements to existing facilities, increasing accessibility for academic buildings and residence halls.
In the year ahead, I hope you will join me, and the entire Knox community, as we work together to ensure a strong and vibrant future for Knox.
With best wishes,
Andy
