Stephanie Roosa '01 recently directed Shakespeare's Othello in Rochester, New York, and she was interviewed as part of the Democrat and Chronicle's news coverage of the production.
More than 3,700 people saw the performance by the Shakespeare Players, a group that's part of the Rochester Community Players, she said.
Roosa was selected from a pool of candidates to direct the Shakespearean tragedy. She told the Democrat and Chronicle she loves the play and saw it years ago at England's historic Globe Theatre while on her honeymoon.
At Knox, she majored in theatre. She also participated in Knox College's 2001 Repertory Theatre Term, a unique program combining academic study in theatre with all of the business that is vital to operating a professional repertory theatre company. The 2001 Rep Term featured a production of War and Peace.
