Ann Feldman Perille Elected Knox College Trustee

An educator, Knox College graduate and one of Knox's most successful regional alumni club leaders has been elected to the Knox College Board of Trustees. Ann Feldman Perille of Englewood, Colorado, was elected an Alumni Trustee at the board's most recent meeting in June.

Perille graduated from Knox in 1976. She was elected to Mortar Board, served as Senior Class President and won the 1976 Outstanding Senior Woman Award.

An educational studies major at Knox, Perille completed a master's degree in education at the University of Colorado. She began teaching in Colorado in 1976 and is currently at High Plains Elementary School in the Cherry Creek School District, Greenwood Village, Colorado.

Perille first joined the Knox Alumni Council in 1990 and has served as the Colorado Knox Club representative since 2002.

Since 1990, Perille has coordinated more than 70 events in the Denver area for the Colorado Knox Club, including eleven "Send-Off Picnics" with alumni, faculty guests and Knox students from Colorado heading for campus prior to the start of classes in the fall. She has represented Knox at numerous admission events, and for the past eight years she has spearheaded participation by Knox alumni volunteers in "Rake Up Colorado" and at the Food Bank of the Rockies on "Make a Difference Day," the annual national community service initiative.

Perille was honored with a Knox Service Award in 2005.

Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 48 states and 51 countries. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
