Knox Day of Dialogue Continues Annual Tradition of Creating Meaningful Conversations

Student leadership expert Kristin Skarie, author of A Year of Nothing New: Tools for Living Lean and Green, will present the Fall EquiKnox Lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 16 on the Knox College campus.
Her presentation, "Sustainable Leadership: Maximizing Your Impact," will be in Kresge Recital Hall, Ford Center for the Fine Arts. In a workshop-style lecture, Skarie will speak about techniques for creating lasting change on campus and in the community.
Skarie, who has worked in the field of student leadership for almost 30 years, helps students take action toward a more sustainable future, and she offers strategies for Greek organizations, student clubs, and student government.
Her book, A Year of Nothing New; Tools for Living Lean and Green, will be available for sale at the EquiKnox event, and a book-signing will take place after the lecture.
Skarie, president and founder of Teamworks, received a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of Wisconsin and a master's degree in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University.
