Jim Lynch '97 Receives '40 Leaders Under Forty' Award

Jim Lynch '97

by Ashley Wolfgang '14

Jim Lynch '97 has been named one of the "40 Leaders Under Forty" this year by InterBusiness Issues, a Peoria, Illinois,-based magazine.

Lynch is vice president of development at the Greater Peoria Business Alliance (GPBA), where he is responsible for fund development and oversees project management for the CEO Council.

An English literature major at Knox, Lynch spent a couple of years in international sales following graduation. More recently, Lynch has dedicated his career to the non-profit sector.

"Although many of those years have been spent major gift fundraising in the health care and education arenas, I have most recently been focused on corporate fundraising and project management for the betterment of Greater Peoria through the CEO Council and Greater Peoria Business Alliance (GPBA)," explains Lynch.

"I have found a passion for community development," says Lynch. "I am very blessed to work with the best leaders Greater Peoria has to offer through the CEO Council and GPBA."

This year marks the 20th anniversary of InterBusiness Issues' "40 Leaders Under Forty" program, which has recognized 800 young leaders since its first year. "Many are familiar names in our community today, leading businesses and organizations through times of great change and turbulence, while others prefer to work behind the scenes, no less diligently," magazine publisher Jan Wright wrote in the November 2013 issue.
