Knox College students participating in the highly selective Kemper Scholars Program are blogging about their summer 2013 experiences as they complete internships, start a full-time job, and attend a national conference.

The Knox Kemper bloggers are:

  • Anna Novikova, a 2013 Knox graduate, who is starting her first full-time job with Epic Systems in Wisconsin.
  • Alyssa Gill, who just finished her junior year and is working as an intern at Kemper Preferred Insurance in California.
  • Max Potthoff, who just finished his junior year and is working as an intern at ENVIRON Global in Shanghai, China.
  • Molly Loudon, who just finished her sophomore year and is working as an intern at the Art Institute of Chicago.
  • Lindsey Morgan and Alec Freytag, the newest Kemper Scholars, who just wrapped up their first year at Knox and will attend their first Kemper Scholars Conference this summer.

All were chosen as first-year Knox students for the Kemper Scholars Program.

The program, run by The James S. Kemper Foundation, provides students with scholarships, practical experience, and career exploration opportunities while preparing them for leadership and service -- especially in the fields of business and administration. The James S. Kemper Foundation states on its website that it believes "undergraduate study of the liberal arts offers the best preparation for life and career."
