Kiplinger - Knox is Top 50 Best Value College

Knox College is one of the top 50 "Best Values in Private Colleges," according to a recent report by Kiplinger, a multi-media financial advice company.

Kiplinger's Best Value college rankings were published in December 2009 by several Kiplinger media, including Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine and the Kiplinger.com website. Knox was also recently named a national Best Value among private colleges by The Princeton Review/ USA TODAY.

"Our top 100 schools deliver an affordable, high-quality educationand keep the financial aid flowing," wrote Jane Bennett Clark, senior associate editor at Kiplinger. "We choose schools that are competitive enough to attract bright students and strong enough to keep them."

In addition to "Best Value" rankings from Kiplinger and The Princeton Review/USA TODAY, Knox College has been nationally ranked by Barron's Best Buys in College Education, the Fiske Guide to Colleges, and U.S. News & World Report; and is one of just 40 colleges recognized in Loren Pope's renowned book Colleges That Change Lives.

Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 47 states and 48 countries. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
