About 300 graduating seniors will receive their bachelor's degrees from Knox College during Knox's 168th Commencement exercises on Saturday, June 8.
The ceremony will be at 10 a.m. on the South Lawn of Old Main on the Knox College campus. It is free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be in T. Fleming Fieldhouse,
What else do you need to know about Commencement? Well, here's a start.
1. The Commencement speaker is actor and comedian Ed Helms.
Known for his roles in The Hangover films and the U.S. version of The Office television series, Helms will deliver remarks to the Class of 2013. He is one of the most eagerly anticipated commencement speakers in the country, according to The Huffington Post.
Helms gave a shout-out to Knox College when he appeared recently on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Helms will receive an honorary degree from Knox. Also receiving honorary degrees will be Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and Knox College Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean Lawrence Breitborde.
2. You can watch the event live online.

3. There will be weather.
No one can say for sure yet what the weather will be that day, so think positive: sunny, pleasant, and dry.
4. There will be fireworks.
The night before Commencement, graduating seniors and their loved ones can start celebrating by attending a campus fireworks display. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, on the lawn north of the tennis courts.
5. Stick around afterward for the traditional Concert on the Lawn.
The award-winning Knox-Galesburg Symphony, led by conductor Bruce Polay, will perform a free outdoor concert, open to the public. The music starts at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 8, on the South Lawn of Old Main. In case of severe weather, the concert will be moved to the T. Fleming Fieldhouse.
