Christopher Parks of IHS presents a 2010 Healthy Company Award to Knox College officials President Teresa Amott, Benefits Coordinator Roxanne Ronk, Human Resources Director Gina Zindt.
For the fourth year in a row, Knox College has been named one of the "Healthiest Companies in America" for 2010 by Interactive Health Solutions, a health management program that serves more than 1,700 client firms nationwide.
The award recognizes Knox College employees and spouses for achieving outstanding results on a health screening program held on the Knox campus.
"Knox had 81 percent participation by eligible employees and spouses, compared to our national participation average of 71 percent," said Christopher Parks, IHS vice president for business development. Parks presented the award on August 23 to Knox College President Teresa Amott, Human Resources Director Gina Zindt, and Benefits Coordinator Roxanne Ronk.
"I'd like to thank everybody at Knox for helping make a difference in people's lives," Parks said. "IHS helps reduce costs and improve productivity through a healthier population."
Knox is just one of 44 companies honored with the award for 2010, out of more than 1,700 IHS client corporations and organizations with over one million insured employees and spouses. The award is based on clinical evaluations of employee participants across an index of key health indicators.
Knox offers a range of health and wellness incentives and programs for employees, including on-campus blood screenings and PSA tests.
