Knox Kemper Scholars Attend National Conference

Five Knox College students, all of them chosen for the selective Kemper Scholars Program, participated in the 2011 national Kemper Scholars Conference, which was held in Chicago in early August.

The Knox contingent consisted of students Krista Anne Nordgren '12, Hannah Basil '13, Anna Novikova '13, Alyssa Gill '14, and Max Potthoff '14. They were accompanied by Knox College faculty member John Spittell, Professor of Business and Management and Executive-in-Residence.

The Kemper Scholars Program prepares students for leadership and service, especially in the fields of administration and business, by providing them with scholarships, opportunities for career exploration, and practical experience.

Only students at designated Kemper Scholars institutions may be nominated for the Kemper Scholars Program, which is sponsored by the James S. Kemper Foundation of Chicago.

The annual conference provides an opportunity for Kemper Scholars to meet one another, discuss summer projects, and participate in sessions dealing with administration, leadership, and business.
