Knox Listed in Best Colleges for 2012 by Princeton Review

Top 20 national rankings for theatre and radio station

The Princeton Review 2012Knox College is selected as one of the country's best institutions for undergraduate education, with top 20 national rankings for its theatre program and campus radio station, in The Princeton Review's 2012 edition of "The Best 376 Colleges."

The annual college guidebook selects just 15% of the 2,500 colleges and universities in the United States.

"Outstanding academics is the primary criteria" for inclusion in "The Best 376 Colleges," according to the guidebook's author, Robert Franek, senior vice president and publisher of The Princeton Review.

The Princeton Review calculates rankings in 62 categories, based on surveys that ask students to rate their own schools and campus experiences. The rankings give Knox especially high marks for its theatre program, ranked 12th in the nation, and the student-operated radio station, WVKC, which is ranked 6th.

In addition to the rankings, The Princeton Review calculates ratings for each college from 60 up to 99 in eight categories, including academics, campus life, selectivity and financial aid. Knox's ratings range from 80 in campus life to 87 in selectivity, 89 in financial aid, and 94 in academics.
