With the alumni and student choir watching from on stage (above) at the Homecoming Convocation on Saturday, a standing-room audience in Kresge Hall enjoyed a humorous video featuring Knox College President Teresa Amott (below). The video featured President Amott talking with students, faculty and alumni, to track down the correct Latin terminology for Knox's 175th anniversary. They agreed that the correct term is "dodransbicentennial," but decided to use "175th" when talking about the celebration in 2011-12 of the founding of Knox and Galesburg in 1837.
