Holter Graham, actor and co-host of the television show "Wa$ted," will give a talk, "My Planet, My Passion," at 7 p.m., Monday, September 21 in Ferris Lounge, Seymour Union, Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois.
The lecture is free and open to the public. It is part of the "EquiKnox" series of events sponsored by Knox's Presidential Task Force on Sustainability.
The lecture will cover sustainable living practices and Graham's experiences as both an artist and an environmental activist.
While at Knox, Graham also will do an "eco-walk-through" of some campus buildings. The campus walk-through is similar to the walk-through tours of homes that Graham and co-host Annabelle Gurwitch undertake on "Wa$ted." The program on the Planet Green cable network offers advice on how people can incorporate sustainability into their everyday lives.
The Presidential Task Force on Sustainability develops events and initiatives at Knox to encourage a campus-wide culture of environmental awareness and understanding.
Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 47 states and 48 countries. Knox's 'Old Main' is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
