Mark Kleine Elected Knox College Trustee

President of Kleine Equipment, Inc., a regional John Deere farm equipment dealership, elected to the Knox College Board of Trustees.

Mark KleineLocal businessman Mark Kleine of Kleine Equipment, Inc. has been elected to the Knox College Board of Trustees. Kleine is president of Kleine Equipment, a John Deere farm equipment dealer established in 1994.

"Mark is a great addition to the Knox Board," says Roger Taylor, Knox's president. "As a successful businessman in West Central Illinois, he knows our local issues and the people of our area."

Kleine has been in the farm equipment business since 1994 and he is a graduate of St. Ambrose University. Kleine also serves on the boards of Wells Fargo Bank and OSF St. Mary's Foundation.

Kleine says he hopes his business background will help Knox continue to see success in fundraising and building Knox's endowment. "Knox has had so much success in the past few years, with the construction projects on campus, the Hamblin Hall renovation, and the Knosher Bowl renovation, I hope I can help," he adds.

Kleine also says he would like to give Knox students the opportunity to learn more about the intricacies of a multi-location business and to continue to help build Knox's influence in the Western Illinois area.

Kleine Equipment is comprised of six locations in West Central Illinois: Aledo, Bradford, Brimfield, Galesburg, Kewanee, and Monmouth. Kleine Equipment is the only "Gold Star" John Deere dealer in West Central Illinois - a recognition conferred by the John Deere Company.

Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 47 states and 48 countries. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
