Knox College has named Paul Eisenmenger to the post of vice president for finance and administrative services and chief financial officer, effective January 21.
Eisenmenger comes to Knox with more than 15 years of experience in higher education, serving in leadership positions in finance at Lewis University, Valparaiso University, and Trinity International University. Prior to joining academia, Eisenmenger held accounting and marketing positions in private industry for 16 years. Eisenmenger succeeds Keith Archer, who left Knox in July 2018 to take up the chief financial officer position at Grinnell College.
"Paul Eisenmenger brings to Knox a strong record of financial experience in private higher education with a focus on transparency and on supporting the mission of the institution. His experience, commitment to staff development, and record of communicating financial information to a non-finance audience impressed the campus community during the search," said Knox College President Teresa Amott.
“I am grateful to be joining the Knox community,” Eisenmenger said. “The commitment of the faculty and staff to the students of Knox College, not only in the classroom, but also to their comprehensive learning experience, is readily apparent. It is a welcoming community, and I am eager to become a part of it.”
The position includes responsibility for the business office, dining services, campus safety, facilities services, human resources, and the bookstore.
Eisenmenger received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Judson College in Elgin, Illinois. He received his MBA from DePaul University and is registered as a CPA in the State of Illinois. He has held adjunct faculty positions at Columbia College and Trinity International University.
