Indian Dinner and World Fashion Show, April 30

Knox students work with local Boys and Girls Club

A Knox College student group, SPICE -- Success Performance Inspiration Community and Education -- and the Galesburg Boys and Girls Club will present an Indian food dinner and world fashion show, Saturday, April 30, in the Boys and Girls Club Center, 424 Depot Street, Galesburg.

The event is a fund raiser for the Boys and Girls Club and for Heifer International, an organization that provides livestock for needy families worldwide.

Tickets for the dinner are $20 for the general public and $10 for Knox College students. Tickets for the fashion show are $5 at the door or $3 in advance. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. For the fashion show, doors open at 7 and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

The dinner is provided by Q's Cafe. The show will feature Knox students and students in the Boys and Girls Club modeling fashions from around the world.

Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 48 states and 51 countries. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
