Knox College Theatre presents The Drowning Girls, by Beth Graham, Charlie Tomlinson, and Daniela Vlaskalic at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, through Saturday, November 4, in Harbach Theatre, Ford Center for the Fine Arts, on the Knox campus in Galesburg, Illinois.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and Knox College alumni, free to all students with school ID, and free to Knox College students, faculty, and staff. Tickets are available at the door one hour before each performance or by advanced reservation at 309-341-7472.

Directed by Elizabeth Carlin-Metz, Smith V. Brand Distinguished Professor of Theatre Arts, the 2008 play is based on a serial murder case in early 20th-century England.

In the play, three women have three things in common: they are married to the same man, they are dead, and at his hands. Speaking from and around the bathtubs in which they were drowned, the women share their stories indicting their serial murderer husband, as well as Victorian notions of love and marriage.
