Jordan Hurst

she/they

Assistant Director of Intercultural Life and LGBTQ+ Advisor

Jordan is a first-generation college graduate with a B.A. in theatre from Knox College and an M.A. in theatre from Bowling Green State University. As a Black and Queer individual, their experiences have fueled a passion for intercultural understanding and social justice. During their time at Knox, Jordan was involved in Pi Beta Phi, served as the Diversity and Inclusion Chair on the student senate, was a McNair Scholar, and actively participated in various theatre productions and the Theatre Advisory Board.

As the Assistant Director of Intercultural Life and LGBTQ+ Advisor, Jordan advises Queer student organizations at Knox College and oversees the Gender and Sexuality Center and the Queer and Ally House.  In their role, Jordan is dedicated to ensuring LGBTQ+ students not only feel acknowledged but actively supported in their academic and personal journeys.

Beyond work, Jordan enjoys a variety of movies and television, particularly sci-fi, fantasy, documentaries, and stories with QTPOC representation. A theatre kid at heart, they are always ready to discuss performances, from concerts to the latest Broadway plays and musicals. In their spare time you can find Jordan playing video games, crafting, or putting together furniture for friends and family.
