Photographic highlights from events, student activities and more

The good ol' days! Just under a year ago, in February 2011, the area was socked by a snowstorm. Staff labored mightily to clear campus, eliciting praise from students. Photograph by Peter Bailley.

If we can't have a big pile of white stuff outside -- it rained two inches this week in Galesburg -- we'll make our own, inside. Complete with festive hat, Tim Schmeling, interim international student coordinator in the Center for Intercultural Life, gathers tablecloths following the annual Holiday Lunch, December 14 in Seymour Union. Kristal Frisque, an employee of Blossoms in Galesburg, arranges lights on a Christmas tree in the George Washington Gale House. The historic site was one of the homes featured in the 2011 Holiday Housewalk on December 2, a fundraising event for the Galesburg Civic Art Center. Built in 1841 by the founder of Knox and Galesburg, the house was purchased by the College in 2006. Frisque is a 2002 Knox graduate who majored in studio art. Photograph by Peter Bailley.
